John McConkey serves as Market Insights and Education Manager at Landscape Structures. Since 2002, John has researched and tracked societal trends and industry trends to help create effective solutions that address critical customer needs. The main focus of his recent efforts revolves around developing and delivering continuing education programs for playground planners, designers and owners that enable them to be more customer focused, more creative and more effective in delivering value. His recent programs include playground accessibility and inclusion, designing playgrounds to maximize physical activity, reconnecting children with nature, and environmentally sustainable playground design.
