How do we meaningfully differentiate writing instruction without killing the writing teacher? How can we help students see revision as more than the elimination of common errors? I will demonstrate a new tool that helps students explore the grammar they are already creating in the rhythms of their own writing, inviting them to play with their language toward greater sentence variety, enhanced parallel structure, or some other writing goal. It will allow a student to take any piece of her writing (in English), select what she wants to see about it, and see those elements color-highlighted instantly in her own writing.
